Truly great burgers! Great daily specials & Phil really throws down a mean bowl of house made chili. Breakfast specials also really delicious.

Did some work in La Porte from Chicago and wanted to stop somewhere local for a bite. It is Tuesday and the place has a nice crowd. The atmosphere is fun and festive with great decor and awesome beer on tap. The patio was colorful, fun and perfect for a summer night. I had the house burger which was 1/2 lb with lettuce, tomatoes, a special cheddar and their house sauce. I thought it was great. The woman that served us was seriously cool and fun to chat with. One of my coworkers even got hit on by two older lady's at the table next to us that totally made his day. Overall, I loved the place. If I'm ever in La Porte again, I'll be back.

This place is great! We ate here on Saturday and the food was really good. The cook even came out of the kitchen and sat with us for a while. His name was Phil and he was absolutely awesome. Small town atmosphere with friendly people and good food.

We were checking out the antique shops in the area and stopped for lunch. The menu was limited but everything we had was very good. The little patio area felt like a hidden secret place. Our service was excellent! Very good value!

Seriously the best burger I have ever had. Located in a smoky dive bar but dear God it was amazing! Every time I go I am not disappointed

I should preface this review by saying one of the people I dined with during this visit is related to the owner, so take that into account. Wasn't sure what to expect from this place, but was pleasantly surprised. I went with some people from work for team building. I knew that smoking was allowed in this place, but decided to go anyway. The smoke smell was nowhere near as bad as I expected, but I would imagine it would irritate those with lung conditions. Mind you, there were only two other people in the restaurant and only one was smoking. None of which were in my group. I had the biscuits and gravy during my visit. The serving size is totally worth the price you pay. From what I understand as well, it's home made as well. So if you want some really tasty biscuits with sausage gravy, definitely check this place out in the morning. If we would have eaten here during lunch time I would have tried a burger for sure. One person in our group ordered one and it looked really good.
